Coaching and Teaching Studies
This degree prepares students to address critical issues in physical education teacher education and sport pedagogy by developing research skills, engaging in reflective teaching and expanding knowledge. Students learn to develop a focused line of research. They work in close collaboration with faculty mentors who enhance their disposition, knowledge and skills. This partnership helps students succeed as academic and professional leaders within university settings or national sport organizations.
The doctorate is designed to educate students to become leaders in specialized areas of the industry (i.e., higher education, educational agencies, sport organizations and in school systems).
