GARC
This page houses information for the Graduate Admissions and Recruitment Council (GARC), which is comprised of graduate-level admissions assistants, program coordinators/directors, and/or recruiters.
The purpose of GARC is to have regular, open-discussion between the Office of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment (OGAR) and graduate program representatives as it relates to the policies and procedures surrounding the processing of graduate-level applications. The discussions can include but are not limited to:
1. Hobsons / TargetX –transition,
technical issues,
training, and best practices,
2. Applicant/admit requirements/documentation,
3. University/program-level operational communications to applicants
OGAR recommends that any graduate-level faculty or staff who play a role in application
processing attend these meetings. GARC members are responsible for sharing any
information/issues with the larger group and disclosing meeting discussions with
the appropriate personnel within their department.
Note: GARC meeting minutes can be found in the Graduate Admissions and
Recruitment Sharepoint.
