What is Applied Statistics at WVU like?

Description

The Certificate in Applied Statistics (CAS) is designed for professionals or students who what to take applied statistics courses to enhance their quantitative skills and job opportunities. The certificate will provide students with a solid foundation in statistical methodology, and depending on the elective courses selected, predictive analytics, statistical computing, or statistical theory. The flexibility in the certificate course work is intended to allow the student to select courses that will meet their needs, whether enhancing professional quantitative skills or research productivity.

What are the requirements to apply for Applied Statistics at WVU?

University Requirements

To be eligible for admission into a graduate program at WVU an applicant must submit official, bachelor’s degree transcripts from a regionally accredited institution and hold a GPA of at least 2.75.

WVU operates decentralized admissions. Decentralized admissions allows each graduate program to set its own application requirements in addition to the University requirements.

Program Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the Applied Statistics graduate program an applicant must submit the following documentation:

  • Résumé /CV
  • Statement of Purpose

Additional considerations for applicants:

  • Information from previously attended institutions, including transcripts.

Only applications with all completed requirements will be considered for admission.

International applicants must also submit required materials for international applicants.
