Human Resource Management  Master's

Overview

What is Human Resource Management at WVU like?

Description

WVU’s Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) is one of the oldest, and most celebrated HR/IR programs in the country. MSHRM students participate in a wide variety of co-curricular learning opportunities, including off-site company visits, networking events, industry conferences, internships opportunities, and the Eaton Practicum Series.

Students must complete a supervised internship as part of the MSHRM program requirements where they are exposed to the many facets of HR management. Internships have been completed in diverse environments such as manufacturing facilities, corporate headquarters, and operation centers. During their internship experience, students build hands-on expertise that complements their in-class learning and continue making professional contacts that may lead to full-time employment after program completion.

The WVU MSHRM program curriculum includes practicum that provides both professional and career development opportunities. Practicum is designed to build skill sets that will assist students not only in obtaining a professional position upon graduation but will be utilized throughout their career.
