What is Psychology: Clinical at WVU like?

Description

The Clinical and Clinical Child Psychology areas of emphasis jointly comprise West Virginia University’s accredited doctoral training program in Health Service (Clinical) Psychology. It has been accredited continuously by the American Psychological Association since 1966. In 2020, the program was re-accredited for ten years, with the next site visit scheduled to occur in 2030.

What are the requirements to apply for Psychology: Clinical at WVU?

University Requirements

To be eligible for admission into a graduate program at WVU an applicant must submit official, bachelors degree transcripts from a regionally accredited institution and hold a GPA of at least 2.75.

WVU operates decentralized admissions. Decentralized admissions allows each graduate program to set its own application requirements in addition to the University requirements.

Program Requirements

To be eligible for admission into the Psychology: Clinical graduate program an applicant must submit the following documentation:

  • Letters of Recommendation - Three
  • Résumé /CV
  • Statement of Purpose

Additional admissions considerations:

  • Applicants must submit official transcripts from all attended institutions.

Certain application requirements may be waived based on a preliminary review of an application by program.
