Clinical and Translational Science (GC)
Didactic coursework - 14 credits; Clinical research practicum – 1 credit. The Certificate program provides the core competencies for clinical and translational research: biostatistics, epidemiology, and responsible conduct of research, culminating with a clinical research practicum. These core courses lay the foundation for advanced training described for the M.S. in Clinical and Translational Science.
The Certificate practicum is based on a detailed research training plan developed with the mentor that contributes to original research and is submitted in the format of a manuscript for publication. The written practicum is defended orally to a committee of three WVCTSI faculty members.
